Historian Nikelen Witter is a professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria, RS. She is part of the so-called “Third Wave” of Fantastic Fiction in Brazil. In 2017, she published “Territórios Invisíveis” and “Guanabara Real e a Alcova da Morte”, the latter being co-written with Enéias Tavares and AZ Cordenonsi. "Viajantes do Abismo" was a finalist for the Jabuti Award in 2020. She recently published the short story book, " Dezessete Mortos ", in 2020.
