Dr. Dimitra Fimi is lecturer in Fantasy and Children’s Literature at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and specialist on J. R. R. Tolkien. This interview debates contemporary issues concerning Tolkien’s impact on the fantasy genre, influences coming from the field of philology and medievalism, and subjects related to cultural prejudice, and ecology in the author’s writings. The interview is brought here in a bilingual version, in English followed by the Portuguese translation, which was carried out by the interviewers themselves.
